A few years ago has been discovered in the West Indies, a new mineral phosphate, phosphate of alumina. At the Vienna Exhibition was this mineral, and drew attention to the issues raised by Eduardo Pockard of London, and L. Fino, of Turin, which had contained some 45 100 of phosphoric acid and 12 per 100 of nitrogen.
This mineral is used today for the manufacture of phosphates, ammonia, potash and soda. This reduces the ore to a fine powder and was treated by sulfuric acid and is precipitated by ammonia, by the soda or potash, and alums are formed, and the mother waters containing alkaline phosphate.
Are now in the trade of phosphoric acid solutions are prepared with low-phosphate, these solutions, which in this state
have no application in agriculture, however, could provide an advantage to spray the manure, which would increase their wealth in phosphoric acid and ammonia are transformed into fixed ammonium phosphate, salt is not volatile at the temperature of hands.
