Espinosa in the European Parliament: European food model must be able to compete in international markets

The Minister for Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs, Elena Espinoza, said yesterday in Parliament that the European model of food production must meet the requirements of European citizens and should be able to compete in domestic and international markets.

In the workshop "Impact of EU rules on the competitiveness of the primary sector and food, held in Brussels, the Minister for Environment and Rural and Marine Affairs has proposed to act in the regulatory framework, and that efforts should focus on better regulation, to ensure the harmony between consumer concerns and economic sustainability of the operator.
